Constitutions & Canons
The Episcopal Diocese of West Virginia is governed by the Constitution & Canons. As a member Diocese of the Episcopal Church, we are bound by the Constitution & Canons of the denomination, which are passed by General Convention. We are also bound by our own Diocesan Constitution & Canons, which are passed by Diocesan Convention.

The Constitution & Canons Committee of the Diocese completed a proposed revision of the Constitution & Canons in 2024, which will go before Diocesan Convention in November 2024. The proposed revisions can be found below.
