Ecumenical Partnerships

The West Virginia Council of Churches was founded in 1880 and is one of the oldest ecumenical partnerships in the nation. It currently includes fourteen denominations in the state, whose membership rolls approach 300,000. Together, this ministry operates programs for disaster assistance, substance abuse, prison ministries, and other important programs throughout our state.

LARCUM is the Lutheran-Anglican-Roman Catholic-United Methodist Conference. This program seeks to bring together our different traditions for fellowship and education. Our yearly conference brings presenters from each tradition for relevant topics. Anyone is welcome to attend. Dates and information are available from the LARCUM Facebook page.

For more information about WVCC or LARCUM, please contact our Diocesan Ecumenical Officer, the Rev. Greg Pennington.
