Youth & Family Ministries

Opportunities for growth and formation are critical for Christians of all ages. The Diocese of West Virginia employs a Diocesan Children’s Minister who is available to work with congregations to help them imagine and implement formation programming for children, including helping pick curriculum for Sunday School and equipping congregations with other resources to support the youngest Christians among us.

The Diocese also offers opportunities for the youth of the Diocese to gather. A few examples of opportunities for youth in the Diocese include a recent gathering at Diocesan Convention, an Advent party at Diocesan House, and the upcoming Episcopal Youth Event (EYE).

Youth of all ages and families of all sizes also have the opportunity to attend summer camp offerings at Peterkin Camp & Conference Center in Romney, WV. Peterkin’s 2023 camp season includes three youth-specific camps and two intergenerational camps.
