Disciplinary Board & Title IV Intake
The Diocese of West Virginia participates in a Regional Disciplinary Board to handle cases of potential clergy misconduct, pursuant to Title IV of the Episcopal Church’s Constitution & Canons. The Regional Disciplinary Board was created in 2020 and consists of 13 members (7 clergy and 6 lay) from the following Dioceses: Northwestern Pennsylvania, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Southern Ohio, West Virginia, and Western New York. Each of the Dioceses is represented by one clergy and one lay representative, with the thirteenth member (clergy) selected by the Bishops of the six Dioceses.
The Diocese of West Virginia’s Title IV intake officer, the person to whom potential violations of Title IV should be reported, is the Rev. Dr. Susan Claytor.
