Safeguarding God’s Children: A Program of Sexual Misconduct Prevention Training provides participants with information they need to protect the children they know and care for in their personal and professional lives.  The training sessions includes two parts; the morning portion is based on the Church Pension Fund’s program and focuses on child abuse prevention and awareness, and the second portion addresses issues of sexual harassment. and abuse prevention, both in adult and youth populations.

Safeguarding God's Children is now available online! The online training is free and takes approximately 3-4 hours. To register for an online session, please email Mollie Bailey at with the following information:

Please allow 2-3 business days for your information to be entered into the system. Once that is completed, a message will be sent to the email address that you provided. It will contain your login, password and any other pertinent information needed for you to proceed with the training.

Training is required for all clergy, paid lay employees, and volunteers working closely with youth or shut-in and/or disabled persons.  This includes youth choir directors, directors of Christian education, and youth group advisors.  Clergy who have not attended these sessions within the last five years are required to attend to renew their awareness.
