DIOCESAN COUNCIL – February 2008 Meeting

Diocesan Council met Feb. 8-9 at the Days Hotel, Flatwoods. At the request of Bishop Klusmeyer, Council approved the establishment of deans’ funds, an archdeacon’s discretionary fund and a canon’s discretionary fund. Council approved a $5,000 loan from the Christian Century Fund for an elevator project at Emmanuel, Keyser.
  
Council members continued a visioning process, considering the question: “What would it look like in the Diocese of West Virginia if God’s will really were being done?” Members considered this question from the perspectives of youth, mission, education and finance.     

The next Council meeting will be April 18-19 in Bridgeport.
