Welcome to the website of the Episcopal Diocese of West Virginia. If you are not familiar with the Episcopal Church, I invite you to explore the various pages that describe our life in Christ. If you are familiar with us, I invite you to delve deeper into the life of the Diocese and the Episcopal Church to deepen your faith.
Throughout the Diocese of West Virginia, which is the entire State of West Virginia, you will find 70 different congregations that seek to serve Christ in various ways. Our congregations offer ministries to their communities that vary from soup kitchens to reading programs to community concerts and beyond.
While our congregations vary in size, ministries and appearance, they are all committed to worshiping Christ. As Episcopalians, Christ is at the center of all we do.
We believe in the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit) and we strive to continue in the historic faith that has been passed down through the centuries. At the same time, we are open to the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit that calls us into new and exciting ways to engage one another. We seek to serve Christ in all people and to respect the dignity of every human being.
If you are seeking to deepen your faith in Christ, I invite you to not only visit more of our website, but to visit one of our Churches throughout the State. You will find a welcoming and warm group of people who will welcome you as part of their family.
God bless you.
In Christ,

The Rt. Rev. W. Michie Klusmeyer
Bishop of West Virginia
