Welcome to the website of the Episcopal Diocese of West Virginia.
If you are not familiar with the Episcopal Church, I invite you to explore the various pages that describe our common life in Christ. If you are familiar with us, I invite you to explore the life of this Diocese and the life of the Episcopal Church. I pray that your exploration will help to deepen your faith.
Throughout the Diocese of West Virginia, which comprises the entire State of West Virginia, you will find 70 different congregations that seek to serve Christ in various ways. These congregations offer ministries to their communities that vary from soup kitchens to reading programs to community concerts and beyond.
While our congregations vary in size, ministries and appearance, they are filled with committed people, who are working to deepen their faith in Jesus Christ. They are committed to worshiping Christ.
As Episcopalians, Christ is at the center of all we do. We believe in One God, in Trinity of Persons - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We strive to continue in the historic faith that has been passed down through the centuries. At the same time, we are open to the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit that calls us into new and exciting ways to engage one another and the world. We seek to serve Christ in all people and to respect the dignity of every human being.
If you are seeking to deepen your faith in Jesus, I invite you not only to visit more of our website, but to visit one of our Churches throughout the State. You will find a welcoming and warm group of people who will welcome you as part of their family.
God bless you.
In Christ,

The Rt. Rev. W. Michie Klusmeyer
Bishop of West Virginia
